probably the most successful hockey family in world history, outstanding technical defencemen – father František, a legendary player of Kladno team and the great national team of the 70s, and his sons František and Tomáš have together 2 bronze medals from the Olympic Games, two Stanley Cups, eight World Champion titles and 6 National Champion titles, legendary sports family, Kaberle hockey name – it sounds good.
Hockey defenceman, Kladno former player, Kladno hockey legend, twice a World Champion, six-time National Champion, Team Champion of Europe, Canada Cup finalist, the Czech Hockey Hall of Famer, founder of the famous hockey family of Kaberles.
A native of Kladno; he started playing hockey in PZ Kladno youth team becoming a national champion in the 1969/1970 season, followed by a silver medal at the Junior European Championship in Geneva.
He joined the Kladno ‘Steelers’ A-team in the 1970/1971 season, only to play for Jihlava during his military service in 1973 and 1974, where he gained his first adult national championship title; after returning to Kladno, he became a pillar of its defence playing with František Pospíšil, both supported the great offensive formation of E. Novák-Nový-Bauer; he won five league titles and victory in the European Cup, with Kladno defeating Spartak Moscow in the final, during the famous period of Kladno; his excellent league results while wearing the blue and white jersey is supplemented with two third places.
He participated in Kladno’s famous tour to the USA and Canada at the turn of 1977 and 1978 playing four successful games with the teams of the NHL and WHA; together with E. Novák, he played and trained Japanese team Furukawa Denko in Nikko in 1982 and 1983; he started in 357 league games for Kladno scoring 51 goals.
He played 107 games as a member of the national team having 9 goals, won two World Champion titles; he is a finalist of the first season of the Canada Cup in 1976; after the end of an active career, he coached Kladno youth teams, and, together with Vaclav Sýkora, coached the local A-team between 1989 to 1991, he spent three years working as a secretary of the club.

A native of Kladno; he began playing hockey at PZ Kladno; this constructive and technical defenceman played 290 games and scored 29 goals for Kladno, Pardubice and Plzeň in the Czech Extraliga (of which 192 games, 21 goal for Kladno).
He spent three years in the Swedish MoDo, played for the Los Angeles Kings, Atlanta Thrashers and Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL with a total of 555 games, 33 goals, 174 assists, 207 points; in the deciding seventh game of the Stanley Cup Finals in 2006, he scored the Carolina Hurricanes game winning goal into the Edmonton Oilers net.
He played 185 games, scored 20 goals for the Czech national team; his five World Champion titles are admirable, supplemented by two bronzes; he won a team bronze medal at the Winter Olympic Games in Turin.

He comes from Velké Dobré near Kladno; he began playing hockey at PZ Kladno; the defenseman with a modern game style has played 262 games and scored 22 goals for Kladno in the Czech Extraliga.
He has played for Kladno during the NHL lockouts, and during the 2004-2005 season, he decided an originally practically lost game with Liberec with a shot across the rink in the last second of the game; he has played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens in the NHL with a total of 1,086 games, 93 goals, 509 assists, 602 points.
He was one of the roster pillars in Toronto, where he spent 12 seasons, and the most productive D-men in the NHL; he holds historically the second place among the Czech defencemen in points; he played 84 games for the Czech national team scoring 7 goals; he won a team bronze medal at the Winter Olympic Games in Turin.
With the national team, he won the gold medal at the World Championships in Vienna, the silver in Riga, Latvia a year later; he and the Czech national team advanced to the World Cup Semifinals in 2004..
