Jan Suchopárek (born 23 September 1969)
A native of Kladno; he began with football in Kladno mite team in 1975, continued through a youth team to the POLDI SONP A-team; he played 460 matches and scored 285 goals in youth teams, 49 matches and scored 13 goals in Kladno A-team.
To perform a compulsory military service, he was called to Dukla Prague in 1988, and joined Slavia Prague three years later; he also played for Racing Strasbourg in France, Borussia Berlin in Germany, then left for SK Slavia Prague and returned to his former SK Kladno in the summer of 2003, playing two seasons there.
He played more than 200 matches and scored 31 goals in the first league; he started in matches with many quality opponents within the UEFA Cup; he represented the national team of players under 16 years of age (5 starts), players under 21 years of age (35 starts) and the Czech Republic team (61 starts, 4 goals); he was a member of the national team of the Czech Republic that finished second at the 1996 European Championships in England after the final 1-2 defeat to Germany at Wembley; there, he shook hands with Elizabeth II, the Queen of England.
After ending his career, he coached youth teams in SK Kladno, worked as an assistant coach of the national football team under 21 years of age and Dukla Prague.
